Once you’ve chosen your frame, the best way to determine a lens combination to fit your needs is to review your prescription. From there, you can select from the different types, indices, and coatings available in that category of lens.

Eyeglass Lenses

At Yesglasses, we offer a wide range of eyeglass lenses, catering to both prescription and non-prescription needs. All eyeglasses come with FREE hi-index 1.61 lenses, anti-scratch and anti-reflective coatings, with 100% UV protection.

Eyeglass lenses are standard lenses for everyday use. Whether you need vision correction for near, medium, or distance vision, or a combination of these, prescription eyeglass lenses are a popular choice.

Sunglass Lenses

Experience ultimate protection and comfort with our high-quality sunglass lenses, available in tinted, gradient, mirrored, and polarized options to suit your unique needs. All sunglass lenses are available in single vision and free-form progressive options, while tinted and gradient lenses also offer a bifocal option. Whether you need prescription or non-prescription lenses, every pair includes anti-scratch and anti-reflective coatings, plus 100% UV protection.

Light-Responsive Lenses

Embrace the convenience of light-responsive lenses, also known as photochromic lenses, available in both Yesglasses and Transitions® options.

Lens Types

Your optician will recommend either single vision, bifocal, or free-form progressive lenses with your prescription. Read below for the differences between the three, and what type of vision correction they are most used for.

  • Single Vision

    Single Vision

    Whether it's near, intermediate, or distance vision correction, our lenses provide a clear and accurate field of view.

    Remember, single vision lenses will only correct one view. If you have vision problems from multiple distances, bifocal or progressive lenses may be a better option for you.

  • FT Bifocal

    FT Bifocal

    Flat top Bifocal lenses correct both distance and reading vision in both children and adults, with a visible line where the distance prescription ends and reading prescription starts.

    Remember to provide your ADD value when ordering bifocal lenses for accurate customization.

  • Progressive

    Progressive

    Choose progressive lenses for a seamless transition between near, intermediate, and distance vision correction. Also known as free-form progressive lenses or digital progressive lenses, these multifocal marvels provide a complete range of vision correction without the visible lines found in traditional bifocal or trifocal lenses.

    Remember to provide your ADD value when ordering progressive lenses and allow a short adaptation period to enjoy the full benefits of these advanced lenses.

Lens Index

Your lens index and therefore lens thickness will depend on your prescription. To ensure the best results, it’s always a good idea to consult your optician. Yesglasses offers five types of lens indices to suit a range of prescriptions. Read below to see which option works best for you, from our thickest to thinnest lenses.   • 1.50 Low Index - Standard Lens

    • Recommended for low prescriptions.
    • Made from a plastic named CR39.
    • Thickest lens option.

  • 1.59 Mid-Index – Polycarbonate

    • Recommended for SPH corrections from +5.00 to -5.00, and CYL corrections from +4.00 to -4.00.
    • Made from a polycarbonate, making them lightweight, impact-resistant, and less likely to fracture than plastic lenses.
    • 20% thinner than our standard lens.

  • 1.61 High-Index – Thin

    • Recommended for SPH corrections from +4.00 to -4.00, and CYL corrections from +3.00 to -3.00.
    • Made from a hard resin named MR-8, making them our most tough and durable lens option.
    • FREE with all Yesglasses frames.

  • 1.67 High-Index - Super Thin

    • Recommended for SPH corrections from +8.00 to -8.00, and CYL corrections from +4.00 to -4.00.
    • These high-quality lenses are a lightweight solution for strong prescriptions.
    • 45% thinner and 45% lighter than our standard lenses.

  • 1.74 High-Index – Ultra Thin

    • Recommended for SPH corrections from +10.00 to -14.00 or above, and CYL corrections from +6.00 to -6.00.
    • These plastic lenses are the thinnest and lightest lens option for high prescriptions.
    • 60% thinner than our standard lenses.
